Recently, I was interviewed on a podcast about my books and my author’s journey. It was both exciting and gratifying to be invited and to be interviewed by a celebrity. Yes, John Lim is a celebrity with an incredible resume—a Tedx speaker, actor, author, and voice artist, as well as an awesome podcaster. So, you can imagine (and probably sense when you listen to it) I was a little nervous. Thankfully, John is incredibly down to earth and put me at ease.

Here’s the funny thing.

I’ve given keynote presentations to audiences of hundreds of people, done book signings, given speeches on corporate stages, been a guest on other podcasts, and even was interviewed on television for my work. But all of these “spotlight” events occurred while I was in the corporate world, as a business owner and a manager. While I had a few jitters when I walked onto those stages, it felt different. It was different. I wasn’t stepping up as an author. Now that I’m in the world of writing and authoring books—it’s daunting. Exciting, but daunting.

Moving forward—pun intended—I look forward to more opportunities to share.

I am so excited to have my first book published and as I’m on the journey, want to share my highs and lows, wins and losses. Why? Well, this is something that I’ve always enjoyed when other authors were kind enough to be transparent on their journey. As you can see, I’ve asked those I’ve met to share their experiences, as well.

I’ll pause here, and let you share…
